The Fabulousness

Do you believe in spirit animals?  It’s a Native American thing, I’m told.
I used to feel my spirit animal was a gliding sea tortoise.
These are American water turtles, according to the the caption, but I still love their swimmy countenance.
Like Dory so famously said, in Finding Nemo, “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming…”
It’s been a rough twelve hours or so.  I am having a tough time not falling into old patterns.  I so badly want to do the loving thing for someone else, but doing so will hurt multiple people, including myself.  I struggle with this because we are at the end of our acquaintance.
I try to leave this world a little nicer than I found it, a little kinder & gentler, to paraphrase Bushy 1.
There’s a little comfort to take in the fact that I’m at least concerned about the right thing.  Those among us who think they know better than everyone else what that is are sadly mistaken, and for their own sakes, I hope they get to enjoy the ignorance they revel in, forever.  Wake up calls are so very hard to watch.  I’d rather they cast me as the bad guy forever, than ever had to deal with walking in my shoes.
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming…
Thankfully, God is in control.  No one else.
