Month of Fitness Day 15
Okay, so I’m starting to see a pattern. I work out a little in the morning, and then after that, I feel compelled to exercise spontaneously a bit more, usually with the kids. This is a good thing! This is what I want!
Also, I think my face looks less puffy this morning, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking. Either way, I’ll take it.
Yesterday afternoon I ended up playing Kinect while Sean did a homeschool conference on the computer.
When he got done, he jumped in with me, otherwise I might have quit earlier. I ended up playing 9 rounds of Rallyball, and my heart rate stayed elevated for awhile afterward. I don’t think I really started sweating until after I’d stopped!
On a related note, I’m going to try to start going to bed earlier. I don’t like staying up late. I don’t really think it’s good for me. Tim used to be the night owl, but lately we alternate being the first to fall asleep. If I went to bed earlier, it would theoretically give me more time in the morning to write and workout before the kids wake up, although GiGi might wake up with us. Tim & I used to hang out in the morning before he went to work and I miss that. If I get up early enough, he’ll exercise with me, too!
This morning I got up, took my medicine (thyroid disease, yay!) and did a quick workout. I already feel sore in my shoulders, and I could feel it in my thighs, even though it was quick:
I like this Mike fellow. He has a great attitude and he was personable enough on twitter to ask me how my fitness month was going. Also, his workout partner in this video is cute and personable, too!
This is a quick downward-facing dog yoga pose push-up and marching plank routine. I don’t know if those are technical terms or not, but that’s what I’m calling these things.
I hope you’re enjoying my Month of Fitness.
Ooh, I just leaned forward to type that and felt soreness in my buttocks! (Why can’t I type “buttocks” without hearing Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump voice?)
Have you been working out?
